CLEAR ‘VIEW’: Bethenny Frankel Claps Back at Joy Behar Over Runway Diss, Calls Her a ‘Miserable, Washed-Up Woman’

Bethenny Frankel is not backing down.

The outspoken former Real Housewives of New York star delivered a fiery response after The View co-host Joy Behar publicly mocked her recent appearance on a fashion runway. What started as a light jab quickly escalated into a full-blown feud, with Frankel hurling sharp words at the 81-year-old daytime TV veteran.

Behar, known for her brash commentary, took a swipe at Frankel’s catwalk appearance during a segment on The View earlier this week. Without naming her directly at first, Behar quipped that some people should “leave the runway to the models and not the reality stars trying to relive their youth.” The panel laughed, but viewers were quick to point out that the comment seemed aimed squarely at Frankel, who had just strutted down the runway at a New York fashion show in a daring outfit.Bethenny Frankel Slams Joy Behar For Criticizing Her Body On 'The View': “You Have To Be Really Miserable” | Decider

Frankel wasted no time responding — and she didn’t hold back.

Taking to social media, the reality TV mogul and businesswoman fired off a scathing rebuttal. “It’s always the joyless women talking about joy,” she wrote. “Imagine being a miserable, washed-up woman at your big age, sitting on a panel every day complaining about women who actually go out and live.

She continued: “I didn’t walk that runway for Joy Behar’s approval. I did it because I could. Because I felt powerful and beautiful and free. That clearly threatened her.”

Frankel’s fans rallied behind her online, praising her confidence and condemning what many saw as Behar’s ageist and judgmental remarks. Some even called for Behar to apologize, claiming her comment crossed the line from humor into mean-spirited criticism.

But Frankel wasn’t done.

In a follow-up video, she added, “It’s always the women who preach feminism and empowerment on TV that are the first to tear other women down when the cameras are rolling. Joy isn’t offering commentary — she’s projecting. And frankly, she hasn’t been relevant outside of that table in a long time.”

The feud has reignited a broader debate about ageism, body shaming, and female competition in the public eye. Social media exploded with hot takes, with users split between defending Behar’s right to express her opinion and siding with Frankel’s call-out of toxic female-on-female criticism.

Representatives for The View and Behar have not responded publicly to Frankel’s remarks, but insiders say the host is unlikely to address the issue further — at least not directly.

Still, fans of daytime drama and reality TV alike are eating it up.

Frankel, who’s known for her unfiltered honesty and razor-sharp wit, has never shied away from confrontation. Whether it’s fighting with castmates or facing off with talk show royalty, she’s always brought her signature fire. And judging by the reaction online, plenty of people are here for it.

As for the runway? Frankel says she’s already been asked to walk in another show — and this time, she might bring backup.

“Joy might want to tune in,” she teased. “I’m just getting started.”
