Moss left Jimmy Kimmel horrified after revealing that she requested to keep her character’s custom underwear after filming wrapped, only to discover a crew member had already called dibs.
And you thought your coworkers were creepy…
Actor Elisabeth Moss left Jimmy Kimmel aghast during a recent visit to Jimmy Kimmel Live! when she revealed that one of her colleagues stole her underwear. Kind of.
Moss recently finished filming the final season of the Emmy-winning Hulu series The Handmaid’s Tale, in which she played the lead role, June.
As a souvenir of the show, Moss, who also executive produced, asked for a unique memento—her character’s underwear, which were custom-made for the show.
Problem was, they’d already been claimed—by a crewmember who apparently requested them in writing… Uh, okay.
Kimmel could not believe the situation. He said to Moss:
“Wait a minute. This is your custom underwear that you wore, and some creep on the staff requested it — in writing requested it?”
“Like, ‘I want Elisabeth’s underpants. I’m gonna take ’em home. I’m gonna put ’em in storage for a while.’”
Not sure what’s weirder—that or the fact that whoever that crewmember made the request to actually granted it.
For her part, Moss insisted that she doesn’t want to know any more about the underwear transaction, including the identity of the person who got them. She told Kimmel:
“I went to work with these people! I don’t wanna know who wants my underwear!”
Kimmel was almost more in disbelief at that than the actual situation itself, asking Moss “how do you not want to know?!”
Kimmel himself is so keen to unmask the underwear-obsessed weirdo that he even proposed a special episode of The Handmaid’s Tale for the big reveal.
“Maybe we’ll have some kind of live, pay-per-view thing where we announce the name.”
“At the end of the season, maybe you can tack on a little post-show on Hulu in which you reveal who took the underwear. It’ll be like ‘The Bachelor Men Tell All’ special.”
On social media, people were as keen to know who snagged Moss’s underwear as Kimmel was.

Hopefully it was just, like, the costume designer who created them and not some weirdo. Fingers crossed!
