Sexyy Red is defending her new friend Justin Bieber.

On Thursday, April 17, the rapper shared a video with the “Peaches” singer at her 27th birthday party. In the comments section, a fan suggested that he looked happier with her than he does with his wife Hailey Baldwin Bieber — and the rapper stood up for their relationship.

In the video, Sexxy Red walks up to Bieber’s booth and leans in to give him a hug as he greets her in return with a kiss on the cheek. Afterward, both artists smiled at one another. Then, the clip cut to them doing silly dances together.

“My two personalities… thank for comin friend @justinbieber 🫶🏾 HAPPY BIRTHDAY 2 DA BADDEST 🎂🎊,” the “Get It Sexyy” rapper, whose birthday was on April 15, captioned the post.

In the comments section, a fans noted, “Justin don’t be smiling like that with his girl 😭”

“yes he do!!” Sexyy Red wrote in response.

Bieber, 31, shared the same video to his Instagram with no caption — and Hailey, 28, commented three heart-eyes emojis. He also shared a black-and-white selfie with the birthday girl.

The fan comments come after the couple stepped out for dinner in West Hollywood on April 16, following their weekend at Coachella.

Earlier this week, a source told PEOPLE that people in the “Baby” singer’s former circle are concerned about him.

“He is facing a lot of different demons right now,” the source said. “He is making some really poor decisions lately, further impacting friendships, money, and business.”

The insider added, “People are worried about him.”

Among the stressors that Bieber is dealing with are the impending trial of Sean “Diddy” Combs, with whom he was associated in the mid-2010s, and his strained relationship with former manager Scooter Braun, who announced his retirement in 2024. Bieber has also publicly cut ties with his fashion brand Drew House.

Meanwhile, a former team member recently told The Hollywood Reporter that Bieber was “lost” and claimed that he was left with millions of dollars in debt after canceling his Justice Tour in 2022.
