‘Fox & Friends’ co-host Lawrence Jones returning to North Texas for special segment

Lawrence Jones will be up off the couch on Fox News’ Fox & Friends to talk with breakfast diners in Dallas on Thursday morning.

Jones, a Garland native who was recently named a co-host on Fox & Friends, will be at a Norma’s Cafe in Dallas for the show’s signature “Breakfast with Friends” segment.

He is set to be at Norma’s at 17721 N. Dallas Parkway to speak with patrons about elections, inflation, immigration and more. Fox & Friends, also featuring co-hosts Steve Doocy, Ainsley Earhardt and Brian Kilmeade, starts at 5 a.m.

“It’s great to be back home with folks that helped raise me,” Jones said. “I’m excited to hear their perspective on today’s news of the day and, of course, I can’t wait to stop by the State Fair of Texas.”

Jones, 30, is the youngest Black co-host in cable news, according to Fox News. He started in his current role Sept. 18.

In January, while still living in North Texas, he was the host of Lawrence Jones Cross Country on Saturdays and enterprise reporter for Fox & Friends throughout the week.

Since 2018, Jones has advanced rapidly up the Fox News ladder and been a part of the coverage of some of the nation’s breaking political and cultural news, including the mid-term elections. He reported live from Uvalde after the mass shooting that left 19 children and two adults dead at Robb Elementary School in 2022.

He passed up his senior year on the Garland High School basketball team to focus on his passion for criminal justice. He also ran for the Garland ISD Board of Trustees, losing in 2012 and 2014.

He attended the University of North Texas and worked at the conservative outlet The Blaze, in Las Colinas before joining Fox.
