Young Montreal Canadiens forward, Ivan Demidov, has reportedly made an important decision following the team’s elimination.

We’re still treating this as a rumor, but according to Maxime Truman, Ivan Demidov has decided to stay in town, even after the Habs were knocked out of the playoffs.

In any case, he is still in town for the moment, and all signs suggest that if he had wanted to return to his home country, he would have done so already.

Ivan Demidov Has Reportedly Decided to Stay in Montreal This Summer

There are several reasons that could explain this.

And if he’s sharing it, it means he trusts his source.

Of course, things could still change, but for now, the young Demidov has reportedly decided to remain in Montreal and in Quebec.

This is good news, especially for his integration here and his preparation for next season, as he’ll have access to the Canadiens’ staff and specialists.

After all, as Kent Hughes himself admitted, Ivan Demidov has had an extremely chaotic few weeks, so a little stability and calm could absolutely be beneficial for him.

Ivan Demidov, 19, recorded 49 points in 65 games this season in the KHL (19 goals), along with two points in two regular season games with the Canadiens.

In the playoffs, he had 5 points in 6 KHL games and 2 points in 5 NHL games.

All things considered, he can be extremely proud of himself and what he accomplished down the stretch.

It’s unfortunate that things ended after just five playoff games, because you could feel Demidov was really starting to hit his stride.

Things are looking promising for this fall!
