Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark poked fun at her teammate Sophie Cunningham in a hilarious way this week.

The Indiana Fever were narrowly dealt a home defeat after a valiant late-game comeback effort, but that wasn’t the only loss the team suffered on Friday.

With Caitlin Clark sidelined until at least June 9th with a squad strain, Cunningham was tasked to be the team’s emergency playmaker. The fifth-year guard played 27 minutes for Indiana off the bench before suffering an unfortunate ankle injury in the fourth quarter.

It was a double whammy as she tripped before falling to the ground. When the veteran playmaker went down in pain, it turned out she had done more than just tweaked her ankle- she chipped her tooth as well.

On Tuesday, Cunningham revealed she’ll need to have a tooth repaired.

“Tell me you play in the W without telling me you play in the W,” Sophie Cunningham captioned a TikTok video before smiling and revealing she lost half a tooth.

Unfortunately for Cunningham, she got zero sympathy for Caitlin Clark.

Her Fever teammate took to her Instagram story and posted a photo of Jim Carrey’s character in Dumb and Dumber (1994) smiling with a chipped front tooth. The story was captioned “Sophie.”

The Indiana Fever are under .500 and are currently playing their third game of the 2025 WNBA season without star guard Caitlin Clark.

Her absence meant the Fever needed others to step up. Instead, they have stepped up to the injury list themselves.

Sophie Cunningham reaggravated a right ankle injury in the fourth quarter of Friday’s 85-83 loss to the Connecticut Sun.

On Monday, the Fever ruled out Clark and Cunningham for Tuesday’s game against the Washington Mystics.
